I THINK WHAT IS BEING DONE HERE IS GREAT! HOW DO I SUPPORT IT?
Psst, Pass it on! Letting others know is the best way you can support us and our members. Word of mouth, Facebook, Twitter or whatever works easiest for you is good with us! We are NOT a non-profit or charitable company and so any monetary donations you might want to make would not be tax deductable BUT if you were to insist we would not turn you down! Please contact me if you'd like to discuss alternate ways.
AM I REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACCOUNT TO ADD ITEMS TO THE SITE?
Yes. In order to add any item, including Free Events to the directory you must have an account.
HOW DO I SIGNUP FOR AN ACCOUNT?
To signup as a member go to 'Become a Member' tab at the top of the page. Click the green Learn More button and it will take you to a page that will show you Three Options you can have as a member. 1) Add a Listing 2) Add an Event and 3) Banners (Advertise). As a member you can choose to utilize all three options or just one. Click Sign Up now and continue from there.
To signup as a Visitor so that you are able to write reviews, leave comments or take advantage of member deals and specials go to 'Become a Member' tab at the top of the page. Click the green sign up now button on the Visitor side and fill in your information!
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT ARE OFFERED BY LOCALSASK?
When purchasing a listing, a featured event or a banner you can pay by PayPal or manually by Cheque.
WHY AM I RECEIVING AN 'ACCOUNT LOCKED' MESSAGE?
As a security measure if you attempt to access your account and type in an incorrect password 5 times, the account will lock for 1 hour.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO SEARCH FOR EVENTS BY DATE?
You can search for events by date by clicking on any specific day/month you choose directly on the calendar.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET MY PASSWORD?
If you forget your password, please click on the 'Forgot your Password?' link on the home page or on the member login page. An email will be sent to the email address provided from you from your Contract Information. The email will contain a link which will redirect you to the 'Manage Account' section where the password can be updated.
WHAT IS 'VIEW FAVORITES'?
The 'View Favorites' link will redirect you to a page which shows you any items that you have selected as your favorite. To add an item to your favorites, click the text 'Add to Favorites' on any item you like.
HOW CAN I PRINT AN ITEM FROM THE DIRECTORY?
The items in the directory have a detail page that contains a 'Print' link. Once you click the link a new page will open with the information in printer friendly format.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TELL A FRIEND ABOUT SOMETHING FOUND WITHIN THE DIRECTORY?
Yes. Each item contains a 'Send to Friend' link. Click the link and a pop-up will open. Please fill out the fields in the pop-up and an email will be sent to your friend.
WHAT DO THE NUMBERS THAT APPEAR AFTER EACH CATEGORY AND SUB-CATEGORY MEAN?
These numbers represent the total number of items listed under that category.
WHAT DETERMINES WHICH LISTINGS AND EVENTS APPEAR AS FEATURED LISTINGS OR FEATURED EVENTS ON THE HOME PAGE AND MAIN LISTINGS PAGE?
The Featured Listings are randomly selected and rotated by the website and are drawn from all current members within. Featured Events is an options for members whom wish to have their event show above those that are listed for free and then they are randomly selected and rotated by the website.
FEEDBACK - HOW DOES IT WORK?
LocalSask reviews and works to ensure that comments either negative or positivie originate from a valid consumer (not a competitor or the business themselves). Negative comments are confirmed by e-mail. If confirmation is not forthcoming within 24 hours of inquiry then the negative comment will be removed.
HOW DO I PROMOTE A MEMBER WHOSE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES HAVE MET OR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS?
Positive feedback is welcomed by all. We encourage you to use the feedback feature built into www.localsask.ca as your comments will provide further confidence to other consumers. Word of mouth, Facebook , Twitter and other social media is another awesome way to let your friends and family know.
WHAT IF I FEEL I HAVE BEEN MISLEAD AS TO THE QUALITY OR TYPE OF PRODUCT I HAVE PURCHASED?
Please contact the member directly and try and work things out. If in the end you have had a negative experience then please use the feedback feature. Always ensure what your writing is accuragte and non-inflammatory, what you write will directly affect the specified member, both in reputation and monetary value.
